There are some good crazy comedic turns from Jane Lynch and Emily Perkins. The stepsisters are played by the reunited costars from 'Ginger Snaps', Katharine Isabelle and Emily Perkins. She looks nothing like the expected Madonna figure. She has the comedic chops but they need to fit the role for her better. Jane Lynch is the evil guardian and an aging pop star. He definitely can't match the importance of the role. While Cinderella is played admirably, the prince Charming role is a stiff wooden block.
Certainly, there's nothing here that's different from dozens of other Cinderella teen films. There's nothing special in the story here. Like the title says, it's another Cinderella story.
